Science vs. Big Oil

apesThe Sunday Review-Journal Opinion section was recently dominated by another blow against science.

The piece, penned by Richard S. Lindzen, was a typical fit for the paper whose corporate ownership invests heavily in oil and natural gas companies.

Then the RJ actually printed a letter to the editor detailing Professor Lindzen's own ties to big oil interests.

Bravo to Steven F. Scharff for not only helping to expose the RJ's financial ties to those who wish to kill energy legislation, but for actually writing something that got published.

There must be a dearth of letters during this holiday time of year for the neo-Libertarians that rule the edit page to allow a little sunlight onto their page.
