After the flurry of corrections over the past several days, the Review-Journal took a day off from correcting its flawed record today.

That doesn't mean there aren't a bevvy of screw-ups. We're compiling a bunch of them -- all about public employee reporting -- that will be featured here tomorrow.

But there's one glimmer of hope in today's RJ (and we don't mean the food feature on bacon.)

Howard Stutz either took our advice or finally got a day to get to his core beat duties. Today, the gaming reporter actually writes a local piece on last week's Travel and Tourism Act. It even made the section front. http://www.lvrj.com/business/tourism-officials-praise-new-law-87176572.html

Today was also a fairly good day for the paper being forced to highlight those on the left side of the aisle.

There's a section front photo and story about Secretary of State Ross Miller's activities in a different sort of ring. http://www.lvrj.com/news/do-your-census-or-else--campaign-to-remind-nevadans-begins-today-87206932.html

And Kevin Cannon has a nice shot of former Sen. Richard Bryan celebrating at the wake for Yucca Mountain.

We promise we'll get to the public employee reporting tomorrow. Stay tuned, it's pretty incredible stuff.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
