Sherm has lost

It seems the only battle Sherm Frederick is capable of waging these days is the war of words aimed at Harry Reid.

Forget about leading his newspaper out of the trenches of the recession and into midday of the digital age.

Frederick returned to his single favorite topic Monday – Reid. In a blog post http://www.lvrj.com/blogs/sherm/That_war_may_already_be_lost_Harry.html

apparently aimed at ridiculing Reid for announcing support from veterans, Frederick instead turned to past comments Reid made about Iraq during the height of the Bush administration’s mishandling of the war.

At the time, Reid said, “The war is lost.”  And, while the surge provided some assistance to the military operation and reduced the constant daily barrage of killings, it’s as hard to look at Iraq today and claim victory as it is to see victory in Afghanistan.

And despite all of Frederick’s Sunday criticism about the Obama administration’s failure to call the Ft. Hood shooter a terrorist, he seems to forget that it’s Obama who is sending 40,000 more troops to fight the terrorists in Afghanistan where we simply cannot lose.

Nothing out of Frederick's mouth on that.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
