Off His Rocker II

off hisMaybe someone else out there can understand Sherm Frederick's blog posts. If you're one of them, will you please let us know why Frederick's not certifiably crazy.

The most recent case in point is Frederick's rambling post Thursday on the vastly-read Complete Las Vegan blog. http://www.lvrj.com/blogs/sherm/Isnt_the_slogan_Harry_Reid_--_independent_like_Nevada_libelous_as_hell.html

Having just re-read it, we still can't follow it.

It's something like Harry Reid is bad because he is the Senate Majority Leader. That is bad for Nevada because somehow that means Reid wants to pay for abortions.

Not only is it patently false (Reid has never been an A-rated choice Democrat, voting consistently against any federal funding for abortion services) it makes no logical sense.

If Shermy wants to attack Reid for not being independent, abortion is clearly not the best issue over on the left. That's where most of the folks think he's terribly independent.

So, if you can understand that Frederick post, please let us know. Oh, and while you're at it, can we try out some of your meds.

Sherm has lost

general

It seems the only battle Sherm Frederick is capable of waging these days is the war of words aimed at Harry Reid.

Forget about leading his newspaper out of the trenches of the recession and into midday of the digital age.

Frederick returned to his single favorite topic Monday – Reid. In a blog post http://www.lvrj.com/blogs/sherm/That_war_may_already_be_lost_Harry.html

apparently aimed at ridiculing Reid for announcing support from veterans, Frederick instead turned to past comments Reid made about Iraq during the height of the Bush administration’s mishandling of the war.

At the time, Reid said, “The war is lost.”  And, while the surge provided some assistance to the military operation and reduced the constant daily barrage of killings, it’s as hard to look at Iraq today and claim victory as it is to see victory in Afghanistan.

And despite all of Frederick’s Sunday criticism about the Obama administration’s failure to call the Ft. Hood shooter a terrorist, he seems to forget that it’s Obama who is sending 40,000 more troops to fight the terrorists in Afghanistan where we simply cannot lose.

Nothing out of Frederick's mouth on that.

Off His Rocker

off hisThe Review-Journal publisher just can't stop his ranting.

We're hoping some of you can make sense of his Wednesday blog post about us http://www.lvrj.com/blogs/sherm/Whos_your_daddy_II.html

We sure can't. Maybe his point is the louder you scream the more people will believe you? It's the Sarah Palin strategy -- attack people for using facts.

We're not sure what got him going. Was it the fact that we disclosed our funding and operations?  Was it the fact that we corrected an error?

Let us know if you can figure him out.

We were always taught there's no point arguing with a lunatic.

Sherm hangin' with the right crowd

3 right wingersA newspaper publisher often has to do the grip-and-grin. But it's clear exactly who Sherm Frederick is hangin' with these days.

Sherm Rants Against Us

sherman-frederick-enough-is-enough-harry-opinion-reviewjournal-comWe don't want to take a page from Sherm Frederick's traditional back-and-forth sniping with his competitor Brian Greenspun, but we figured it only appropriate to respond to some of the allegations in the Review-Journal Publisher's blog post about us yesterday.
