On June 1, he got the RJ's Ed Vogel to give him 28 free graphs of coverage. No opposition. No fact-checking. Just full blown right-wing think tank free flowing on the RJ's Nevada section front. http://www.lvrj.com/news/group--impose--taxes-on-all-sales-95298344.html We happen to think there are quite a few people and groups which might want to discuss the biggest story in Nevada -- revenue, or the lack thereof. So, it wouldn't have really been hard for Vogel to pick up the phone and call the Nevada Taxpayers Association or the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada or our sister group, ProgressNow Nevada. But when you use the Nevada Policy Research Institute as your wire service, you begin to forget how to do your work. This is what passes for rigorous reporting in the RJ these days -- one source press releases that promote conservative ideas.
